Shalimar, FL (Hi 78 Lo 65)
The weather lately is so perfect. I wish it would stay that way all winter, except a little more rain. It's been a long time since we've had rain. (No not a hurricane lol )
Sunday: I decided I needed a change. If you're not happy with something at this age, change it. I kept hearing people talk about it and I had a problem trying to talk myself out of it. I laid awake all night wondering why I was still in chimes. I just wasn't comfortable playing and there was no reason to stay so I packed everything up and took it to the gal that is the leaders assistant and walked away. I felt such a relief and good feeling. It was surprising how I felt. I just don't need to do something that's not fun.
I was on the lookout for people that play hand and foot card game. I now have two possibilities so this week I'll be going to a couple other villages and watching a game or two to see if I can learn it again the way they do it. Everywhere you go, the rules are a bit different. I'm really wanting to get back into it again. I played while in the RV in several locations with a bunch of people.
We have a lurker in our little flower bed by the lounge. He/she has found a nice spot but we have to be careful it's not on the move.
I've had a flag holder but no flag. I got one this week. I love watching it wave from my chair.Friday morning I woke up to the room spinning. UT OH, I knew right away I was having vertigo again. I had my first one in 2013 and the second in 2020. The first one was about 4 hours then it went away, the second one was three weeks and ended up going to the doctor. I was so sick with the second episode. All I could think of is how was I going to get thru it without Jim. He helped me do everything I was so sick. I couldn't move without getting sick. I was supposed to go to the fall festival with Halloween costumes and a DJ plus whatever else was planned but I could barely walk to the kitchen so gave up the idea of going. I finally felt a little better by evening, but still had a headache.
Tonight was happy hour. We're planning for a get together on Halloween night with just our village. It should be a lot of fun. We'll tell spooky stories and have some finger foods.
Next week I'll talk about all the Halloween activities around here.

I hope your Vertigo goes away. I get it occasionally, they usually think it's dehydration, even though I drink a LOT of water during the day!
