Making changes - Vertigo Again - Moon

Shalimar, FL  (Hi  78   Lo 65)

The weather lately is so perfect. I wish it would stay that way all winter, except a little more rain. It's been a long time since we've had rain.  (No not a hurricane lol )

Sunday: I decided I needed a change. If you're not happy with something at this age, change it. I kept hearing people talk about it and I had a problem trying to talk myself out of it. I laid awake all night wondering why I was still in chimes. I just wasn't comfortable playing and there was no reason to stay so I packed everything up and took it to the gal that is the leaders assistant and walked away. I felt such a relief and good feeling. It was surprising how I felt. I just don't need to do something that's not fun.

I was on the lookout for people that play hand and foot card game. I now have two possibilities so this week I'll be going to a couple other villages and watching a game or two to see if I can learn it again the way they do it. Everywhere you go, the rules are a bit different. I'm really wanting to get back into it again. I played while in the RV in several locations with a bunch of people.

We have a lurker in our little flower bed by the lounge. He/she has found a nice spot but we have to be careful it's not on the move.

I've had a flag holder but no flag. I got one this week. I love watching it wave from my chair.
I made the two families of ducks this week and the owner now has them for gifts.
My sister sent this picture of the trees in her back yard. She's in Missouri. It's been so dry it's amazing they're this pretty. I don't miss that. I'll have more color in trees then usual being so far north. I don't have the palm trees like in Auburndale.
I went to crochet group on Thursday and Pat makes crochet frilly purses. They're really cute.
Friday morning I woke up to the room spinning. UT OH, I knew right away I was having vertigo again. I had my first one in 2013 and the second in 2020. The first one was about 4 hours then it went away, the second one was three weeks and ended up going to the doctor. I was so sick with the second episode. All I could think of is how was I going to get thru it without Jim. He helped me do everything I was so sick. I couldn't move without getting sick. I was supposed to go to the fall festival with Halloween costumes and a DJ plus whatever else was planned but I could barely walk to the kitchen so gave up the idea of going. I finally felt a little better by evening, but still had a headache.

Saturday: Thank goodness the spinning stopped and I felt pretty good, just light headed the first part of the morning.  I worked almost all day on the gnome garden after breakfast. I had stones to redistribute, but when I started working on it, there's at least 4 inches of stones under the dirt. I'll be doing this for a couple days. I'll post the before and after pictures when I finish with the gnome garden.
I made another hello fresh meal and it was excellent. It's a kale salad with sweet potato, apple, raisins, garlic, Brussel sprouts and of course kale. I've been very pleased to far with every meal. It made enough for 4 meals for me.
Tonight was happy hour. We're planning for a get together on Halloween night with just our village. It should be a lot of fun. We'll tell spooky stories and have some finger foods.

Next week I'll talk about all the Halloween activities around here.

I hope your Vertigo goes away. I get it occasionally, they usually think it's dehydration, even though I drink a LOT of water during the day!

Newcomers Meeting - Zoom - Emerald Coast Band

Shalimar, FL  (Hi 64  Lo 40)   This week went so slow. When you're retired the days get all mixed up and some go so slow you skip a day...
