Rain, rain and more rain which makes the lake high and when the winds pick up the waves are larger. It's hot and humid, we're anxious to get some cooler temperatures so we can do more outside activities. (Click on the pictures to enlarge).
The labor day potluck was at the clubhouse on Monday. We had a lot of residents attend this time. It was a great time and they played cornhole after we ate.
Ken played great music for us.
Kitchen help
We had four full tables in attendence
On Tuesday Jim went to see the movie Operation Finale. I wasn't interested but he loves that kind of movie about spies. He loved it, guess he'll give it two thumbs up.
Jim also went to the baseball game this week. His "baby" Cardinals played the Lakeland Flying Tigers so it was a must see game.
On Friday night we went to the concert in Tampa to see Paul Simon. Amalie Area is just off interstate, easy on and off exits. It's the home of the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team.
Our view. The place was packed.
The band was outstanding. There were a couple songs with an accordion which is one of my favorite instruments. Our view was Paul without a face, the light system was in the way.
We loved the concert, but truthfully the band was even better. He started at 8;20 and ended at 10:40. A late night.
I got something off my bucket list bought this week. I finally got a Cookoo clock. It has the chimes, the Cookoo and the little music figurines that go round. It took a day to get used to it,
The sunset for this month. It took awhile to get it because of so many cloudy and rainy days.
See you next week.
