Grandson Time

(Edwardsville, IL) Hi 59 Lo 46 -- This morning we went to church with the family. Grandson Kendall had a football game today and his Mom and Dad had to get him to the game site a couple of hours prior to game time. So grandson Kyle came with us so he didn't have to go to the game so early. We had some lunch at Taco Bell, then we came to the RV. A little later Dee left for her sister's in Troy, MO while Kyle and I went to the game in my truck. Dee is spending a couple of days at her sis's for some girl time. Tomorrow they'll be going with a couple of other gals on an all day wine tour in Hermann, MO. I'm staying back here at the RV.

Kendall plays on a select youth football team, and it was fun to watch him in action. It was a pretty miserable day weather wise, but it never did rain very hard, just a thick misty drizzle. Kendall's team, the O'Fallon Little Panthers, beat the Alton Renegades 38-0, so it was a good day despite the weather. It was a pretty muddy game, and the boys seemed to enjoy getting their uniforms as dirty as possible. Kendall caught a pass on an extra point play, which I didn't see. It happened while Kyle and I were at the concession stand. :(

Good job Kendall, Grandpa is proud of you!

I never like being on my own, but I'll make the best of it for a couple of days. Fortunately I'll get some more family time with the kids tomorrow. Can't wait!

Visiting family seems to mean going to games of some kind. In my case it was lots of soccer. Kendall's uniform looks like he had a good time.

38 to nothing, now that is impressive. Either your grandson's team is really good or the other team is really bad or both.
