Day 1, Carolina Clan Get together

(Huntington Beach State Park, SC) Hi  72 Lo 48 -- Yesterday (Monday) was day one of the Carolina Clan get together. It was very quiet during the day, as most of the group went out for groceries or other errands. Jim and I walked the 1/4 mile path down to the beach. The water is still quite warm and there was just enough surf to make a very soothing sound. We're thinking about taking a swim later this week, if it stays warm enough. Our next door neighbor Mike did a great job backing in around a tree.



Our first group meeting was in the middle of the road.


After greetings all around we visited for awhile, then separated for dinner.

A couple of the guys went to get a truck full of fire wood for the week. While they were gone Howard started a fire with some wood he had in the back of his truck.



Before long we had everyone gathered by the fire, and since it was such a warm evening we stayed till after 11:00.
