(Schenectady, NY) Hi 93 Lo 74 -- It was so cold a couple days ago, and today is miserably hot and humid. We have storms coming in, which means a cold front will cool it off again by the end of the week.
Tomorrow we're moving on, so today I'll recap the park we’re in. This is a huge park. The seasonals are mostly separated from the transients area. There are two lakes, one with a beach and one for fishing. There’s a pool and a pavilion area for big groups. The park is very pretty with all the well-kept green grass, but the utilities look like they could use some attention. The electric pedestals look very old, and ours has a very loose receptacle. Yesterday we tripped the 30-amp breaker when we turned our air conditioner on, and it's the first time that's ever happened to us. We've tripped breakers by turning on too many things at one time, but never for just the a/c. We switched our water heater and fridge to propane and we haven't had a problem since. (The a/c has been running all day today.) I think because the park is for sale the owners may not be putting as much into the upkeep as they normally would, and their priority seems to be the things you can see, like the grass.
The view in front of us is empty right now, but I bet it’s busy during the height of the summer season. (Click on the pictures to enlarge.)
Main office.
Lots of room for ball games or family get togethers.
Lake area with a small beach.
Rental cabins.
Second office, laundry, bath house, and meeting room.
Small pavilion.
The pool.
A few random views.
Horseshoe area.
Play area for the youngsters.
Another view of our site.
We’re on the way to Ft. Drum, near Watertown, NY tomorrow morning for more adventures.

That looks like a very lovely park. I'm sure it is filled at the height of camping season.
Check the voltage. If you have low voltage it raises the amperage and then you will either blow fuses or burn you plug in.
Getting excited!
We tried to stay at Frosty Acres. . .we were so excited to finally have full hookups. . .but the voltage was soooooo low, our EMS simply would not allow us to connect.
It did exactly what it was supposed to do. . .which is to protect our coach and all our appliances from low voltage. . .they were even so kind as to allow us to move over to a 50 amp spot. . .still not good.
We left the next morning. . .which made me sad, cause we had a lot of stuff planned for NY. . .including Cooperstown!
It was just one of those weeks. . .I wrote about it here:
