I backed up all the pictures we’ve taken this month so far and read up on blogs of whoever I could find who’s been to Maine. We want to see as much as we can, and I want at least a couple of lobsters. There’s so much to see and do and we're looking forward to it.
I walked around our park to get some pictures and learn a little more about it. I talked to a lady from Cape Cod sitting out by her RV. They come here once a month from Massachusetts to get away from the traffic. I know the feeling. :)
Here’s some views around the park. (Click on photos to enlarge them.)
The gate coming into the park.

Notice the horse on top of the building, on the left side of the photo. Here's a closer view.

The meeting room.

Pool area. It was packed earlier this weekend.

Play area. Check out the tire wall.

Some of the sites.

The office area.

The bath house.

This is one of the seasonal sites, across from us. Interesting way to add additional living space to their RV site. They had a big family gathering this weekend.

Tomorrow we're on the move. There’s some RV-Dreams couples workamping in and around Acadia National Park that we’re hoping to see. It’s been a great summer so far!

I went to Maine on a vacation with my parents back in the late 1940's. Had a great time and stayed in a boat only access cabin. Drank the water out of the lake, it was so pure. Bet you can't do that anymore. Sorry, I can remember being there but don't remember how we got there other than it was a long car ride. I was just a very youn kid at the time.
You must be in Acadia today and we left this morning. I am so sorry our paths won't cross this time. You are going to have a fabulous time in Acadia. There is more to do than we could do in 6 weeks so we'll have to come back again!
It's always fun to meet up with blogging friends. Looking forward to reading about your visit to Arcadia.
