Relaxing on Independence Day

(Beaver Falls, PA) Hi 85 Lo 69 - Happy Birthday America, you look pretty good for 237 years old!

After two days of fun with friends we decided to stay in today and do very little. Jim did the laundry, but other than that we were basically lazy, catching up on blogs and watching some recorded TV shows. I also did some crocheting.

Late this morning we had a knock on our door. A nice lady who is a long-term resident of the park asked if we were going to be here on Saturday. They're having an Independence Day Golf Cart Parade, and they were looking for some "outsiders" to be the judges. That sounded like so much fun, but we plan to do some sightseeing in Pittsburgh on Saturday, so we had to decline.

Tomorrow may be a little more active. Until then, Happy 4th of July to all our loyal readers!

Happy 4th to you too! It's nice sometimes just to relax!

If you are going into Pittsburgh you have to make sure you go and see the Cathedral of Learning and the International Rooms. They are amazing and the building itself is beautiful. It is part of the university. We unfortunately didn't get to see many of the International Rooms because school was in session and it wasn't a weekend the day that we went. Here is our post on it. www.travelwithkevinandruth.com/2012/10/pittsburgh-to-cincinnati.html
