Walking Around the Park

(Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada) Hi 80 Lo 59 -- The sun comes up on the bedroom side and there’s a big crack in the blinds where the knobs are to open the window, so when I rolled over the morning I was hit with bright sunlight.  Welcome to the summer solstice!  Today is the longest day of the year, so now the days are going to start getting shorter.

I chatted with mom for an hour or so. I love it when she gets online, I know she’s ok and I can get caught up on what’s going on. She’s doing very well for her age. I’m so proud of her for getting online.

Jim had a filling in a back tooth crack and fall apart last week. He made an appointment with Sandra’s dentist for today. It’s one of his wisdom teeth, so after discussing it with the dentist they decided to extract what's left of it this Thursday rather than try to replace the filling. It’s the quickest, easiest, and cheapest solution. (This dentist isn't in our insurance network.) So Jim has that to look forward to!

When he got back we took a walk across the canal to the other side of Victoria Park. It was fun to see the RV park from a different perspective. (Click on photos to enlarge)

It was so great weather wise, but it looks like rain may be moving in tomorrow. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen rain, and it’s quite dry here so that’s ok. I'm so glad we decided to stay for two weeks because this first week has flown by. We didn’t see Sandra or Gordon today, we had to give them a break. :)

So glad you're enjoying your time in Canada...even though Jim had to visit the dentist!

Such a pretty park.

Sorry your tour of Canada has to include the dentist's office for Jim. On the bright side, if he had to lose a filling, at least it happened when you were with friends that could recommend a good dentist.

Shalimar, FL  (Hi 64  Lo 40)   This week went so slow. When you're retired the days get all mixed up and some go so slow you skip a day...
