(Wauchula, FL) - Hi 85 Lo 63 -- We got up earlier than normal to have our coffee and read our emails before Jim's sister Sharon came over to cut my hair. She used to be a hair dresser and always does an excellent job. I wanted a short summer cut, and it feels so much better. It's sure easier to take care of when it's short.
It rained off and on today but not for very long or very long at a time. We went for lunch at a nearby restaurant called The Bread Board. Great food! We're finding these great local places about the time we're ready to leave the area. We'll have something to look forward to when we come back next year.
We drove Sharon and (Sharon's) Jim around to show them the area. It didn't take long as there's not much to see. :) Then we came back and relaxed with good conversation for the rest of the afternoon. I took Sharon over to the shuffleboard courts and showed her how to play. About that time the 2:00 games were starting so we stayed and watched them for a while.
Late this afternoon Sharon stepped out of her motor home and walked right into the awning bracket. She banged it hard just above her eye. We gave her some Ibuprofen and put an ice pack on it for a few minutes to limit the swelling. I'm mentioning this so when she gets home if she has a shiner her family won't think Jim did it. :)
Sharon loves to cook, so she grilled some hamburgers and hot dogs for us for dinner. It was wonderful enjoying good food and conversation with her and Jim. I wish we could keep Sharon with us; she cooks AND cuts hair. :)
After dinner Sharon came over to watch TV with us for the evening. She and Jim have a problem with their motor home's TV antenna, so they don't have TV unless they happen to be in a park with cable. Jim doesn't watch much TV anyway, so he stayed home. They're leaving tomorrow, and we're sure going to miss them. What a wonderful time we've had the last couple days. It was nice to share out little piece of paradise with them.
You know you're sitting too long in one place when wasps make nests under the slides and spiders have webs in the hitch.

Glad you have had a nice visit. Glad you liked the Bread Box. There is another good one in Wachula, but our friend couldn't remember the name of it - I'll ask his wife.
