Park Activities - Football Instead of Racing

(Wauchula, FL) - I thought it was suppose to be colder today, so when I dressed I put on jeans and long sleeve shirt.  An hour later I noticed the temperature was climbing, and within three hours it was 85 degrees.  I was back in shorts and sleeveless shirt.  It was fabulous outside, a nice breeze and few clouds.

Today instead of my normal computer routine of reading blogs I started a project of taking all our blogs since 2005 and converting them to an E-book.  It will be easier to have them on the computer than to have a hard copy. It took all day and evening to get them in line by years and months, separated by title pages and chapters.  It was great seeing how we got ready to full time and remembering all the selling, and reading forums to see how it was done by others.  It's going to be a great keepsake for later in life or for the kids and grandkids.  I still have a lot of work to do to format it the way I want it.  Now, because of the holiday and this project I'm about five days behind in reading what my friends are doing and where everyone has moved to.

We played shuffleboard and got caught up on what will be going on here in the park during the winter. We found out they have occasional bus trips that go to different places around the state.  Last year they went to Key West for a couple of days.  Two upcoming trips are to a nearby casino and a trip to Punta Gorda for shopping and to see the city Christmas lights from a chartered pontoon boat.  We're not sure what we'll do yet, but it looks like we'll have some activities to chose from throughout the winter.

Jim watched football after we played shuffleboard.  He's replaced racing with football.  He's happy that he's in an area where he can see his Miami Dolphins every week.  I'm so busy with computer stuff it doesn't bother me.  The noise from the crowds gets tiring, but I've learned to shut it out somewhat.

I noticed my hands have been hurting today and I couldn't figure out why.  Then it dawned on me that it was from gripping the steering wheel on the truck yesterday.  I was white knuckling it most of the way, so was using muscles that aren't normally used.  Funny how we do something different and feel it the next day. Just another day in paradise.
