Doctor Appointment

I had a lousy night, but it happens occasionally, my hip went out of place. It usually takes a couple days for it to go back, but in the meantime it keeps me awake. I guess I'm getting at the age where aches and pains are normal. People that are older say that all the time.

Work was crazy busy, just the opposite of yesterday. I love it, I'm not complaining. Everyone was there so far for two days, that's a good thing. I filed a bunch of stuff and also did some work on proposals.

The main event was the doctors appointment. I got the results of the blood tests and the gallbladder test. Nothing is wrong on either account. The sugar test was perfect, so I did well on the diet for two weeks that I was on it. The gallbladder is normal, but if I keep having problems or the pain gets worse the next step is CAT scan. I'm doing nothing else as it's not enough to keep me awake and it only hurts when I eat certain items or get overly full. The diet I'm now on is NO ICE CREAM!!! That's sad, doctor says Ice Cream is for kids. Bummer. I also have to watch potatoes, anything with fats and starches and sugars. I seldom have sweets, so that's not a problem. I'm not sure how to get protein, beans kill my gallbladder, and cheese is fatty. I'll do some research on what is best to eat. Next appointment is four months.

Mom also had an appointment and her news wasn't real good. Her heart is getting weaker, that's why when she changes position (sitting to standing or visa versa) she doesn't know where she is and gets a "blackout" sort of feeling. So we're getting all plans in order just in case something happens when we're gone for 12 days.

I'm good to go for the trip/rally.

Not the news you wanted to hear, I guess. My doctor tells me rather than eating 3 big meals to eat 6 smaller ones. That might help you too.

Sandra has the same plan I have been following for...all my life...
I eat 6 meals a day...the small part I overlooked...I will have to work on that. TEE HEE
