Gulf of Mexico heading home. ALL photos
The rocking and rolling was rough at times, but just enough to wake you up then back to sleep. Just had to be careful to not fall out of bed. It was fine by morning. The captain kept us free of any winds from the hurricane. They seldom ever cancel a cruise, just move around the systems.
We had breakfast and went to the theatre to learn how to debark tomorrow morning, where to go, what to do with luggage etc. They haven't changed that except those that are able to take their luggage could go ahead of the others and that's what Mary and I did.
Later we had a chocolate lunch. It was fabulous. We just roamed the ship and watched people till dinner time and show. Most of us in the group wanted to stay aboard. If someone handed me a ticket I'd do that. (Click on the photos to enlarge).
The best lunch ever.
Later was a tribute to 60 countries represented of the workers on the ship. There was also a group of kids with a song they learned while on the ship.

DAY 7
We got up at 6am to get some breakfast and get to the debarkation area. Mary and I had our luggage so no need to find it in the baggage area. There was a long line from both ends of the ship debarking, but all went real smooth. Once off we waited about 1/2 hour for the bus.
I wish we didn't forget to look for ducks on board. A guy in line with us on departure told us there were several on board. That's a thing now days, hidden in plain sight are little ducks, some really small.
The next cruise started three hours after we got off. The trucks were lined up to restock.
And two hours after loading we were back home unloading.
It's over. A nice hot shower and to bed wasn't too far behind once home. It was wonderful trip and I can't wait for the next one.
Here's a few couple of the itenary's we got every evening for the next day. Click on them to enlarge.
