2024 Carnival Cruise Day 5 (November 7) at Sea

Gulf of Mexico heading a different direction to escape hurricane Rafael which is a cat 2. No rain at all this trip and only a couple days of sway that wasn't bad. I didn't see anyone sick and it seems to be a great cruise for everyone.

We had another great breakfast in the main dining area. The coffee is so much better there then in the buffet area. We all separated till the military appreciation when we all met up. Carnival does an outstanding appreciation for all services and there wasn't a dry eye in the place.

When that was over Mary and I went by the shop with the rum cakes and picked up one. I love those cakes and a cruise is the only time I get one. It seemed like we ate all day long somewhere on the ship. The music was so good we saw it twice. We also got a picture with the singers/dancers. It was all 80's music. It was later going to bed but we still have another day at sea. (Click on the photos to enlarge).

They did ALL the services with all the songs. Every military person in the audience went on stage.
Mary and I took some quiet time and went to the "jungle". We sat by the window for an hour or more. There's window along the whole area of jungle.

We also kept watching the movement of the ship going east.
We're altogether for a show.
Now it's tea time!
This was the first serving, there were 4 more and I didn't get a picture.
Yep I have my pinky out.
Calm seas and almost sunset.
Our towel animal.
Nice sunset
I can't cruise without at least one lobster. I was too full from eating all day to have two.
We found a whale. Mary found the fish it was eating.
Time to relax in the middle of the ship.
Getting closer to Florida coast.
The evening show was outstanding. The singers come up close.

Sometimes they have wild outfits on.
Our favorite singer

At the second show they took pictures of the passengers with them. Mary and I are in the middle.
One more day to go. The last posting is tomorrow.
