Happy New Year 2020

Auburndale, FL (Hi 78   Lo 44)  Big storm coming in later today, 30 degree drop in temperature.

It was a quiet week. I volunteered at hospice on Monday and they had dolls to get delivered to the dementia patients. They collected 130 of them so they were put in the car to be delivered to the other hospices in the area for patients.

Tuesday was New Years Eve. We had a lot of fireworks in the area, it was almost like fourth of July. We stayed home and watched the NY ball come down like every year. Welcome 2020!!! I hope everyone has a great year.

On Wednesday we took down the Christmas decorations. We thought it would only take a couple hours. We started at 10:00 and got done at 4:30. It took just as long to take down then it did to put up. I reorganized a lot of it to less boxes and should be easier to put up next year. We now have our house back but it's darker without the lights all around the windows.

I've still been crocheting and these are the latest.

I got a train to go with the village set. I got the lay out done and will get more accessories and people  for next year.
This is the first layout, way too crowded. Check out the plugs.

I added seahorses and board covered with sheet and now have plenty of room. This is going to be fun to add more people, cars maybe roads.

Friday we met with RV'ing friends in Tampa at McDill AF for dinner. When we go to the base we always stop in the BX to see if anything is there we need.  We then went to Seascapes restaurant for crabs and shrimp they have on Friday nights.

It's a beautiful beach, but we couldn't get out on the decks. They are sinking and not safe but I did get a couple pictures of the beach and inside the restaurant.

We thought we ordered one plate with one pound crab legs and one pound shrimp, we ended up with two plates. We took some home for lunch. There's also a couple small potatoes with corn on the cob.

We had a great time visiting then went home. Next week I'm on a cruise so stay tuned for next weeks blog.
