(Avon Park, FL) Lo 50 Hi 65 -- Thank you for still following the blog, which we'll continue weekly. We have car trips and sightseeing coming up that we'll post about. We'll try to keep it interesting even though we're not on the move with Tumbleweed.
The knee is coming along nicely. I have PT three time a week and a nurse comes in once every two weeks to see the progress. I can get meals if I sit down every few minutes. The breath isn't there and I'm still getting light headed when standing or walking for long periods (over 10 minutes). The nurse says the lungs are clear but the strength isn't perfect. I'm working on it. The swelling is going down, but I still use ice after exercising or walking.
We had a fun week. Monday we celebrated Harry's birthday at Outback.

Tuesday: the nurse came to check in to be sure the vitals are good and find out if I had questions or anything else that might need attention. Every thing checked out so she won't be back for a couple of weeks.
Arlene a close friend of ours came for a visit while visiting other friends in Florida. We spent the afternoon together and caught up on ideas and travels she's doing. While she was here she met Jessica. We're all chatters in the RV-Dreams chatroom.

Wednesday was exciting. There were tornado warnings and watches for our area. The storms passed us with no problems of damage. We didn't get high winds so we escaped another weather event
The Physical Therapy gal was here but because of the bad weather I couldn't move well. I couldn't even do the normal exercises because of pain. We figured it was all weather related. (It was, I was fine once the front went thru)
Thursday: Jessica and Tyler came for a visit from NC. They're starting new jobs and wanted some time off before they start working next week. Thanks so much for taking the time to come see us.

Friday: I had another session with PT. Now I'm using stretch bands. I can only do three out of five of the exercises but I'll work up to doing them all. I walked almost 400 feet without the cane. I'll start going short walks without it, but I'll have to carry the cane with me in case I need it.
Terri and Mike are now in the park so we get to visit with them the next few days. They're on their way north for the summer.
We'll see you next Friday so stay tuned.

Glad to read your knee is progressing so well. Isn't amazing how quickly you go from barely moving, to a walker, then a cane, and then no cane. Believe me in six months you will be even more amazed has to how it all feels.
