Moving Down East

(Havelock, NC) Hi 78 Lo 66 -- It was cloudy and drizzly most of the way to Havelock, NC. It was a very smooth trip with very little traffic, and the sun finally came out when we neared the coast.

We’re staying at Pelican Point RV Park, a military famcamp at Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station. The park opened in May of this year, so it’s brand new and really nice.

This is the view across from us. The cement pads are big enough for the RV plus two vehicles.

Our friends, Judy and Jim are parked right behind us and will be staying the full two weeks with us. After a short visit with them we settled in for the evening. We’re here to spend a couple of weeks with Jim's family, who live in Morehead City and Beaufort, about 20 miles from us. We're looking forward to seeing his mom and sister tomorrow. Thanks for following along.

Please give Jim's mom and sister my regards. I think of them especially when a storm is headed their way.
