(Avon Park, FL) Hi 83 Lo 67 -- The first thing we learned when we got up this morning was we were under a tornado watch until 6:00 tonight. There were some storms from the west coming our way. It was fine this morning for shuffleboard so I went to play two games then came home. By then it was just starting to sprinkle.
We only got about ten minutes of light rain. The winds were gusty from the south, but the major rains stayed north. We even got in a mile walk in between showers.
We didn't do much today. It was another one of those days that Jim read and I started crocheting a new afghan, one that should be a lot easier so I can get it done before we leave.
Our son and his wife are home from Africa. They will be doing their final blog soon. I'll include a link when they get it posted.

Glad to hear you didn't get the brunt of the storm. It sure has been a rough winter for some places this year.
Glad you didn't get the tornados. It used to be that certain weather evente were common in particular areas of the country, but now you just don't know what to expect.
Just two more days and we are off on our first journey!
