Shalimar, FL (Hi 88 Lo 74)
Monday was great! I started with the season of WII bowling, same scores as last season, to just let you know 178 high, it's as if I didn't stop playing for a few months. In the afternoon we had Dr. Samuel Critides with us for a seminar about brains and what happens when you fall or have things happen with the brain when you're older. He was very "down to earth" explaining things and I asked when it was over if he has dealt with Glioblastoma, which is what Jim died with. There's no cure, depends on what side of the brain the tumor or "spot" is located and if they can remove by surgery but no one lives a long life and it's still under the microscope on why. If anything happens that I need a brain surgeon, he'd be the one I call. He's here in Ft. Walton Beach, FL
Tuesday was the regular diamond art and meditation. I worked on crochet when I got home. Here's the
latest. Baseball gnomes, this one is Boston, with little bats.
Wednesday was a busy day! I had a workshop of estate planning in another village but only four people showed up. It's going to be hard to get everyone on the same page here, but gives me something to do. The rest of the day and evening I was on zoom. I will be spending more and more time on zooms with a variety of things.
Thursday I didn't go to crochet this week but did a couple zooms back to back. I did play cards in the evening. We had a big storm with the electricity going out a few times and lots of lighting and booming thunder. Pouring rain. I had just got in from getting a few grocery's and taking a neighbor on an errand. We just made it in the door before it poured.
Friday I took some time to do some good housecleaning. I sat outside a bit but it was too hot. The humidity was so high and later in the afternoon the storms came again. There were a couple that went north, so it wasn't as bad as yesterday. I had three zooms so didn't go to cards. I'm changing it up a bit.
Saturday it rained almost all day. I crocheted and didn't go anywhere till 4:30 for a car show. There were a few cars that stayed in-between showers, at least no hard storms today. There was also a sock hop. I helped get it ready but didn't help with decorating the room or go to it.
I was cutting out the decorations for the windows. (Click on the photos to enlarge). One of the cars dedicated to the military. Over 800 hours of work.
Those that had Vintage cars
It brings back memories with all the car shows I did with Jim. I really like going it's neat to see a lot of the old cars "still run". These were driven to the community. It's a lot of work to have a car in a show to try to win a trophy.
I took pictures of the decorations of the room before anyone got there. If someone posts pictures, I'll include them.

It's another week. The sunset in the trees was gorgeous. I thought I'd share, looks like fire in the woods.
