Super Bowl Sunday

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 72 Lo 44 -- It was very chilly this morning as we headed to church with Kathleen and Jon. After the service we stayed for the buffet dinner at Solid Ground, the church's cafeteria. They had a great variety of food on the buffet for $6.50 a person. That's including drink and dessert. We were impressed. The cook came around and talked with us when it slowed down a bit. They do that every week.

I wanted to get the vest done today, but I started working on the January budget. We're over budget, but we had to make a $400 down payment to the park to reserve our site for next year. Other than that, we actually did well. When that was all done, I did work on the vest late in the afternoon and during the evening.

The Super Bowl is this evening. Our oldest son is an avid 49er fan, from back when we were stationed at Travis AFB, CA, only 50 miles from San Francisco. I'm not a football fan, so I'll be watching the commercials. Jim will watch the game pretty closely, but he says it sure isn't the same without our boys watching with him. I'm waiting for NASCAR racing to start in a couple weeks.

Our son told us of a great website for travelers. I'm checking it out to see how it works, and may use it to record this year's travels. It's Travelpod.com, and it looks like it might be easier to use for making and saving maps than Google Maps. I'm also still working with Pinterest for information about crocheting, so I'm really keeping busy!
