Carolina Clan, Day Nine (Final Day)

(Murrells Inlet, SC) Hi 55 Lo 37 – Our heat pump switched over to the propane furnace overnight. It's COLD! We’re ready to move tomorrow morning to warmer weather. I’ll fondly remember this week when I get hitch itch this winter. (That's when I get antsy and ready to move again.)

This morning we had a knock on the door. A group came over to say goodbye before they pulled out. Paul and Marti, Paul and Jill, and Mike and Terri all left today. We stood and talked awhile, but it was too chilly to stay out very long.
Here's Jim waving to Mike and Terri as they pull out.

We went to the beach for a couple hours with Bill, Syl, and Gin. It was sunny and beautiful, with hardly any breeze at all. We caught this dolphin swimming along just offshore.

It suddenly became cloudy and colder, so we came back to the RV and "chilaxed" (new word we learned, combination of chilled and relaxed). After dinner I went to our last campfire.

We had a wonderful time and already miss all our friends who have already left. We’ll see them all again, somewhere and sometime. After all, we all have wheels! Thanks everyone for a great time.

I wonder how long it will take before those temps feel cold to me? :) We have 50s coming back this weekend and early next week and I am looking forward to it, because our highs have been in the low 40s. We may get some snow tonight. :(

We are hoping that our house sells SOON so we don't have to be here all winter!!!

I can see why you would look forward to this gathering year after year. Sounds fun.

We're so jealous!! We kept hoping to see some dolphins whenever we walked over to the beach but never did.

By the way, when we got to the campground this afternoon we pulled in next to a Cameo.

Need to be up in Minnesota cause we're in the 60's.
