I immediately called my old friend Natalie, and she and her husband John came over. Natalie and I go back to our military days when we lived in Illinois in the 1980's. She lived across the street from us. We’ve stayed in touch through the years. She and John have been living in Texas for four years.

They showed us around town, and we tried to get into the Texas Fish Hatchery, but it was closed. Soon it was dinner time so went to the Jalapeno Tree Mexican Restaurant. The food was excellent... almost as good as the conversation!

After a little more touring around the local towns they dropped us off at home.
Before we left I had a chance to take a few pictures of our park.

As you can see the park is very spacious, with large pull through sites and lots of room between sites. We’ll be here till Wednesday morning. Tomorrow will be spent with Natalie and John.

Love those 100 mile days. That's about perfect. Those pull thrus are really nice. And not a whole lot of people. That's even better.
Looks like it's been dry in Texas too. Enjoy your visit!
Nice short driving day... good for you! Glad you are getting time with your friends. Enjoy!
