(Beaufort, NC) Hi 75 Lo 59 -- What a gorgeous area in the mornings, after the sun is up. We don’t know what it looks like at sunrise. The sun comes up to the left side of the RV, so we don’t have the hot sun on us in the afternoons like in Wauchula.
We did our morning reading of blogs, news and emails, then Sharon came over to watch Craig Ferguson on DVR with us. We record that every night so we can enjoy him every morning with our coffee. It’s great to start the day off with laughs.
We’ve been rocking a lot since we got set up here, and Jim noticed that one rear jack didn’t come all the way down. He re-leveled our Big Foot system and it made a big difference. Now we're don't have much movement at all.
Our host Jim built a “widow's walk” on the roof of his house, which provides a fabulous view.
A widow's walk was common on older houses here on the coast back in the 1700's and 1800's. Women would sit up on top and look out over the water and watch for their loved ones to return from fishing trips. Many times they didn't return, hence the name "widow's walk". This is looking down on the roof of our RV, which is really dirty. We plan to get the whole rig cleaned up while we’re here.
We hung out here most of the day. I helped Sharon prepare for our family cookout this evening, and Jim went with Jim to a local tire dealer to inquire about upgrading the tires on our rig. Later in the afternoon the rest of the family showed up and we had a wonderful grilled dinner

Sharon and Robin are checking the meat. There were five men present and the women were the ones doing the grilling. :)
After we overstuffed ourselves on burgers, hot dogs, chicken and pork chops, we went for a walk down a very long pier.
At the other end of the pier.
Mud and holes from crabs.
This is the house from the river front.
We went back to visit some more, then returned to our RV for the evening. It was a very fast day and I have a feeling the whole week will fly by.

Your life is great. I remember back then when you were counting the days to your retirement. It's nice to see you enjoying yourself. Keep it up!!
That is a great area of the country. We really enjoyed our time there.
We agree that Craig Ferguson is a great way to start a day-either at 12:35 am or 9:00am.
