I Have a New Toy - Last Dinner in Clubhouse

(Wauchula, FL) Hi 82 Lo 64 --  I slept really late. It feels good to get up when I want to, not when I have to. I love being retired.

I had a new toy delivered yesterday when we were gone. I walked over to the office this morning to pick it up. I have a new Canon Powershot A1200 camera. My trusty old Canon A630 was starting to get balky. Sometimes the zoom wouldn't work, and the autofocus wouldn't work, and I was starting to get random blurry pictures. I guess it's getting old, like us. :) One feature I really like on a camera is a viewfinder, because an LCD screen can be hard to see in sunlight. Jim did some research and saw that Canon just came out with the A1200, and they put a viewfinder on it! As far as we know it's the only small point and shoot camera you can buy with a viewfinder. Jim read through all the directions and set it up for me and then showed me some of the neat features. It even takes high definition videos. It's smaller than my old camera and much easier to carry in my pocket. I took a few test shots today and they look great! If you're in the market for a new small camera, it was only $109.00 on Amazon.com.

We both played shuffleboard today and got caught up on blogs from yesterday.  It snowed today up north so there's still people here waiting for it to warm up before they head home. We went to the last park meal at the clubhouse tonight. They cooked up all the hamburger left in the refrigerator. We had dollar hamburgers with chips and bean soup.  We've had some good times at the clubhouse, and we'll do it again next year.
