(Wauchula, FL) Hi 86 Lo 55 -- What a wonderful day. The high temperature was 80 with a very nice breeze.
We both read all morning, and since the time change we're basically staying with standard time until we adapt to DST, so I'm getting up at 10 and Jim gets up around 8. I love retirement, who cares what time it is.
We had a very small leak in the bathroom ceiling vent during a rain storm a few days ago, so Jim went up on the roof to check it out. The vent cover wasn't seated fully on the rubber seal. The mechanism that raises and lowers the cover has been operating very stiffly, so he oiled it and it now seems to seal tighter and works much smoother. We'll know if it's fixed the next time it rains.
We sat outside for awhile, then went to play shuffleboard for the first time in a couple months. Because of all the departures from the park here were fewer players, so no one had to sit out any games. Several more rigs are leaving by the end of the week. The park is starting to look empty again.
Jim never put the grill away from last night's dinner, so he decided to make use of it again tonight and grilled some ribs. Another quiet day here in our part of paradise. The rest of the week will be busy, so stay tuned.
Florida trivia: The Native American Tribes of Florida included the Apalachee, Calusa, Cherokee, Seminole, Timucuan and Tocobago.

Sounds like a great day, less climbing on the roof.
