Watching the Eagles - Checking Out Music

(Wauchula, FL) Hi 78 Lo 51 -- It was a little warmer last night. The day got warmer too, so the AC went back on. We should stay in the 80's the rest of the week.

I'd like to remind everyone that if you don't have a Google account and you leave a comment as "Anonymous," please include your name. We love making new friends, and consider everyone who reads our blog as a friend.

We didn't do much today. We both went for walks and talked to people that will be leaving this week.  The clubhouse had a small craft show, with a few people showing off their crafts. One was string art, another was beautiful crocheted blankets.  There were watercolor pictures, oil paintings, and wood bowls.  There's a lot of talent in this park.

All day I've had the Eagle Cam up from Norfolk Botantical Gardens, VA.  The first of three eggs hatched this morning and the adult eagle has been feeding it every couple hours. It's amazing to watch, and there is an ongoing informative chat at the side of the screen. It's hard to believe that little downy fur ball will someday be a magnificent Bald Eagle!

Jim found some harmonica music on Amazon.com so he downloaded some mp3's and transferred them to my Droid. It's soft harmonica music accompanied by a harp. Great music to listen to while I walk.  I'm also looking for sheet music learn some songs. I've learned a lot, but I need some music to follow since I can't play by ear.

Jim grilled out tonight. It's been a while since he's had a steak, so he grilled a ribeye for himself and some chicken thighs for me.

Florida trivia:  The Saint John's River is one of the few rivers that flows north instead of south.

23 days left before we head North

First, the picture in your header is amazing! I've always wanted to take a ballon ride, but my fear of heights keeps me out of the basket! Also, thanks for posting the Eagle cam. My kids thought that was the neatest thing ever. I enjoy reading about your travels.

I think it's awesome you're playing the harmonica and looking for sheet music. I'm still just dreaming about playing. I haven't actually done anything about learning yet :)

Someday I'll actually find the ambition to do something about it. I'm a very visual learner so I'll keep looking for someone to show me :)
