Anniversary 41 Wonderful Years

(Wauchula, FL) Hi 82 Lo 66 - We had thunderstorms over night and early morning and rain throughout most of the day. It's been 17 days since our last measurable precipitation so we can use the rain.

On March 28, 1970 we both said "I do," and 41 years later we still feel like newlyweds.

On our wedding day....                                  And today

When we look back it seems like yesterday, yet we've been through so much together. We made it through 26 years in the Air Force, including a whole year apart during the Vietnam war when Jim was in Thailand.  We had two wonderful boys who adjusted well to the challenges of a military life of moving every few years.  We've had our disagreements, but we've never had a serious fight. We had some difficult times, but many more good times. We've seen places that many people never get to see. And now that we're full timers we live together in a 350 sq. ft. home on wheels and we're the happiest we've ever been.  We depend on each other, yet we both put our mate first. But most of all we're best friends.

We celebrated today by seeing a movie ("Limitless") which we both really enjoyed. It has a different concept. We then enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Red Lobster. We're both stuffed with lobster and shrimp (and dessert, which is rare for us), and have settled in for an evening of TV.

Florida Trivia:  The United States city with the highest rate of lightning strikes per capita is Clearwater.

Eight days until we head north.

I really like your Blog tonight. Congratulations on your anniversary. Cliff and I had our 52nd anniversary on the 26th of March. We celebrated by going out for Chinese Food which is our favourite. Hope the rest of your day is pleasant as well.
