Happy Birthday Mom - Active Day

(Wauchula, FL) -  I didn't go to bed till really late, so this morning I didn't get up to go to the clubhouse to help decorate for Christmas. I was hoping to do that, but between laziness and just too early, I passed it up.

Jim called his mom this morning to wish her a happy birthday.  She lives in North Carolina.  Happy birthday Alberta, and hope you have many more.

One year ago I quit work and retired from the working life. I can't believe it's been a year; it feels a lot longer than that. I've never looked back, and  I don't miss it.

Jim went for his daily walk and while he was gone I cleaned up the RV.  It's amazing how much you can clean in half an hour. Now I'm set for the week.

We decided to go Christmas shopping.  Pizza hut is on the way so we enjoyed a pizza buffet before hitting the stores.  We were able to get everything we need here in Wauchula, including a two foot tree that we plan to put in our back window.  We'll decorate next week after we get back from our RV maintenance trip to Lazy Days.  I'll get all the gifts wrapped and ready to ship tomorow.

When we got back I updated Facebook to the new profile.  They seem to be emphasizing more personal information, but other than that it seems to be laid out a little better.  We should all be careful about what personal information we put on Facebook.  It's unfortunate, but there are people out there who try to make a good thing bad.

It's going down to the high 20's for the next couple of nights so Jim unhooked our water hose and turned on the water pump.  We'll operate off our internal tank  We're not taking any chances on frozen water pipes. The underbelly is heated so we're not worried about the tanks freezing.  It's very un-Florida like at the moment, with a cold and gusty wind..   But we're still loving it in paradise.

Can you believe how cold it is here in Florida!!! We covered up our outdoor plants since it will probably freeze tonight. I'm still planning to make a trip to meet you, but have to wait until I know Roger's schedule at Disney.

Try and stay warm!

Where did you find your little tree?
I agree with you that it's unfortunate that we have to guard our private information. It's nice to see what people are interested in though.
My daughter in Tampa says the temps are unseasonable cold but you're right, it's still paradise!

News here is calling for record lows in Daytona Beach, with low expected around 27.

Not what we were hoping for.
