The Scoop on the Park

(Wauchula, FL) -  It was a wonderful morning!  The temperature was in the high 70's but the humidity is still high. We pulled out the awning and sat outside for awhile.  I went walking around to get some more pictures of the area.

Two of our grandsons are named Kyle and Kendall.  We are parked on Kendal Lane, with Kyle Lane right behind us.  These two pictures are for them.  (Click pictures to make them larger).
Too bad we don't have a Jack Avenue, for our third grandson.  :)  We've been hearing a motor running in the distance, but couldn't place what it was or where it was located. While I was walking around I found out what it was. It's the water treatment plant for the park. Now that I know what it is, it won't bother me.
Here's another picture that shows how empty the park is for now.
Another view of the recreation hall/bath house building.
There's park models all around, and some are for sale.  Something like this might be an option when we decide to leave the road and settle down.  This one has a garage built on.
The view down Kyle Lane looking at the office.
The shuffle board players get together at 10am and 2pm.  I'm not a morning person, but there were few people that showed up for the 2pm play time, so I decided to join them while Jim did the laundry.   I've played before and really enjoy it.  This will be one way to spend time in the afternoons.

Now for info on the park.  The residents here are either snowbirds or full timers that come here every winter.  Once the place fills up there will be community breakfasts on Saturdays, special get togethers, games, and other activities.  We were told that we were very lucky to get a site the first year we tried.  The place pretty much fills up with "regulars" every year but apparently someone canceled, allowing us to get a site. We're already talking about making this a yearly thing, but we'll wait a couple months to see how we like this area before making a final decision.

This  park is very friendly, and there are lots of activities.  The sites are close, so as time goes on it will get crowded.  It's a great park for 55 years old and up.  If you are interested in someplace warm, with lots to see around south/central Florida at a great price, this might be the place for you.  It's $1900 for six months, which we think is very reasonable. The electric is metered at 16 cents per kwh, plus there's a $5 meter charge per month.

Maybe we should keep it a secret.

I would stay clear of "Kendal Lane" after seeing what looks like bullet holes in the sign ☺
The pictures enlarge nicely now.

Your secret is safe with us, we won't tell a soul...

We're really worried about that full contact shuffle board that you'll be playing, please be careful!

Wow! $1600 for six months sounds like a great deal. Neat park too. Have fun!

Does the sign have something growing on it and not bullet holes? I think that 6month price is great!
