Helping Out Our Son

(Fair Oaks, IN) – We remember those days when you’re working and someone had to be at the house to wait for a delivery.  The company gives you a window of time and you have to be there, then they’re late or don't show up and you have to do it all over again.   Well, this was our chance to help our son with deliveries scheduled for today.  We got up around 6:30am to get to our son’s by 9:00.  We made it and even had time to stop at a 7/11 to pick up coffee and donuts (not a good thing).  We got in and settled and the first of the deliveries came in, right on time.

First to be delivered was a sectional couch for the basement.

An hour later came a new treadmill.  Jim is watching the delivery men assemble the treadmill, and thanking his lucky stars he doesn't have to do it.

We also got their grandfather clock fixed.  The chains for the weights got tangled up, so we found a clock repairman not far away to help get it running.  My dad made the clock it so it means a lot to the family.  By the time that was all accomplished it was time for lunch.  We went to (altogether now) CULVER'S!   It’s becoming a joke now, but we won't be in the midwest forever, so we're taking advantage of the opportunity to eat at Culver's

We played lawn golf while son Rick was grilling our dinner.

We got home about 10:00pm.  It was one of those days that made us feel good to help out.  No missed days of work.

We help our kids with stuff like that also. It's nice to be able to wait around for a repairman or a delivery. That sectional couch is beautiful.

Enjoy your weekend.
