Visiting with a Great Friend - (O'Fallon, IL)

I had a day planned with a friend from the12 years we lived here. When we come to see the kids I always stop by to see Ruth and  her husband Butch.  I brought her to our home on wheels and relaxed a couple of hours. She really seemed to like the laid back way of living.  She plays a dulcimer and I went with her to a friend's to practice.  The sound of a dulcimer is so soothing.

Ruth on the left and Josephine playing a duet.

Here's the dulcimer.  There's a different sound from each of them that's made.

We got a plaque made for the front of our home. It's really nice looking.  Thanks Doris for having it made.  We got it attached today.  Now if you see the front of our home, you'll know it's us.

We didn't have rain when it was time to eat, so Jim got out the grill for our dinner meal. We watched the Hawks hockey game and some Cardinal baseball.

So glad to see others who play the mountain/lap dulcimer. My husband plays and we're always appreciative of those who do. Love your blog, so glad Jim gave me the business card during his last days at PE!
