Campers Leaving Early -- Still Dodging Storms (O'Fallon, IL)

The storms dodged us last night, they went north.  We heard rain but when you're under a lot of trees, it's not the kind of rain that puts you to sleep.  It would start dropping from the trees in the living room and then come across the top to the bedroom then stop.  Loud drops!

The rain finally gave up early morning but about that time the baby in the Mennonite family in the tent next to us started crying at 1:30am, and again at 3:30.  All 8 people were in the tent all night, with some storms.  They did ok, they were up and starting to pack up at 8am.  It was so neat watching the ladies (5 of them) walk around the area while the two men did all the packing and taking down the tent. After everything was ready to go, they all took a walk.  I grew up with the Mennonites and they're very special people.

There were several people packing up their rigs at the same time and by 9:30 several were gone. People were leaving by cars too so it was very quiet today till the mowers came in.  This place is so big there's mowing going on most of the time.  Once they get it done, it's time to start over again.

We watched a rented movie, UP.  We both feel like it talks about your dream of doing what you want to do without putting it off.  It's like making a dream to go RV'ing but you keep putting it off and then something happens and you never do it.  What a great feeling for us to go and do what we both really wanted to do before it's too late.  I hope others do more than just THINK  about doing something, not just RV'ing but whatever their dreams.
It was really cool this morning and we had the fireplace on. By afternoon we had the A/C on.  It jumped 25 degrees today. We're supposed to have another round of storms after midnight. I don't think they're calling for severe though.
Jim and I went for a walk to the lake today to feed the fish.

They love bread. When you throw in a piece there's a bunch that goes for it. It's fun to watch.

Jim also put up my napkin dispenser.  I have to find a place to put napkins so they don't scatter when we move, now they'll stay in one place and I don't have to put them away and then get them again.

Jim watched the Cardinals game and I will read some backlogged magazines, then get into chat for awhile.

Yes, the movie UP is one that we agree sends a message of getting that dream into action.

Seems you and Jim have that covered! :)

Hope to catch you in chat very soon -- as soon as we get over this hump of activity.
