Mail - Shopping - Relaxing

We're settling in to a new lifestyle.

We've got our mornings settled. Jim gets up, then I'll get up later. We watched TV shows till noon then went to Wal-mart to get a few items for the RV. I finally got my haircut and the lady did a wonderful job. I'm glad to finally get that done, I was looking like a wooly bully.

We got the Turbo Tax CD so that will be a project later this week. It was a dark, dreary, cold, and windy day, so we stayed in and I took all the stuff out of the cupboards in the hallway to re organize it. Jim worked on getting our new mail set up in Florida. We now have a mail address for anything legal. We're using my sister for everything else that comes. That's done.

We still haven't canceled the electric to the apartment. It's no longer ours with nothing in it but the contract was for February 23 and we'll get charged a substantial amount if we turned off the electric before that date. We'll do that this week too.

We've come a long way.

I took pictures of stuff that we had or meant so much to both of us
I took two years to scan pictures and memorabilia to CD's
We sold everything we own that wasn't going with us.
We sold the condo and moved to the apartment
I retired December 6, 2009
We sold all the furniture and the extra stuff from the apartment
We moved into the RV two months ago, December 15, 2009.
Jim retired February 11, 2010

Today was the day we had planned one year ago to head out to Texas and meet up with a bunch of the RV-Dreamers. On a trip to go see Jim's mom on January 22, 2010, we had a "mishap" and now waiting for the RV to be repaired. The dealer should call any day now. We're sure of leaving before the end of the month. We're comfortable, even though the temperatures at night are in the 20's and the daytime temps are 40's. We have an excellent 5er. We've had no trouble so far. We're learning the water/propane usage and no wind has been felt inside. We're happy, relaxed and just waiting for the day to move on to Florida for our first big trip.

We'll meet up with the RV-Dreamers along the way. See ya soon down the road.

Can anyone say anything better than...

"We are happy and relaxed..."

Your plan -- and your determination has given you what you were looking for!

...and has given us in this lifestyle a very special lady to share it with!
