(Auburndale, FL) Hi 82 Lo 67 -- We had a great week. We went to see the Jack Reacher movie. A great movie, but no matter what, we always see a movie with Tom Cruise in it. We give it two thumbs up.
We wanted to get our wills re-done so we went to Patrick AFB, which is about an hour and a half from here. It took awhile to get an appointment but we finally got one. We love going on the base. When we got all the legal stuff done, we found a seafood restaurant/tiki bar to eat lunch and had a wonderful view of the intracoastal waterway. (Click on the pictures to enlarge).
I have been getting ready for this weekend since April. When we moved here in late March I asked about a craft group; none was here. I asked about a craft Bazaar; none. I started planning, and this weekend was the result. I had so much amazing support from the community. We had one group that did transportation, with golf carts taking people to and from parking areas to the clubhouse. One group did breakfast and lunch. I had so much help from a group that did crafts. I'm amazed at the turnout from vendors outside the community. It was a total success.
Breakfast and lunch was served. They had breakfast sandwiches, which were the best ever. Each was freshly made with ham, egg and cheese on a muffin, and they were excellent. For lunch was hot dogs and sloppy joe's, also excellent.
We had 34 tables and chairs to setup for the vendors.
Vendors starting to arrive.
My half table with all my 'critters'.
Vendors tables with many different items.
Hand painted glass balls.
Packing up to leave
Back to normal.
We're all exhausted. Tomorrow will be a day of rest, then back to a normal routine on Monday. The bazaar is a success from all the reports. We'll do it again next year.
See you Friday.
