Terri, Mike, Jessica, Harry, and Jim
Tuesday evening the six of us went to dinner at the Jacaranda Hotel, the 1920's-era hotel in downtown Avon Park. It's one of our favorite eating places in this area.
The lobby is decorated for Easter.
Wednesday Jim and I went to Okeechobee for a visit with my sister Doris and her husband Herm. It's been a while since we've been down to see them. They have a pontoon boat and they took us out for some lake and river cruising. The lake was a little too choppy so we weren't able to go very far out, but we had fun cruising along the shore.

We went slowly up the Kissimmee River. We saw a couple of gators scurry into the water, but they were too quick for me to photograph them.

We found a quiet cove and anchored the boat so Herm could grill some brats for lunch. It was sunny, warm, and very quiet. We heard an alligator grunting in the nearby weeds, but thankfully he stayed away.

The canal where Herm docks their boat runs right into their neighborhood.
Doris took me to meet one of her friends who makes all kinds of crafts. She makes these little jeans aprons for kids from the pockets in blue jeans. They're so cute! She sells them so if you're interested, contact me.
She also makes quilts.
We arranged to meet up on the way home with Mike, Terri, Harry, and Jessica at the Don Jose Mexican Restaurant in Sebring.
The full moon was beautiful as it rose over Lake Jackson just behind the restaurant.
This morning Terri and Mike left for their journey north. We'll see them again in May at the RV-Dreams Reunion Rally in North Carolina.
Today I went to crafts, then played shuffleboard with Martha (one of cards group friends), Jessica and Harry.

It was hot and humid today, but breezy. It's nice to have our normal Florida warm weather back.
See you in a few days.
