Cold and Wet - Band - Decorations

Shalimar, FL   (Hi 55  Lo  38)

It's been a cold and wet week. We've had rain off and on which we need, I'm not complaining. Just makes it drab along with early darkness. I'm glad I'm not working it's that time of year you leave in the dark and back home in the dark.

Sunday I got all my Christmas shopping done. I love sitting on the couch, checking what I want and hit send. I just hope it all arrives to everyone before Christmas.

I've been crocheting for the craft fair most of the week. That's for next weeks blog. I've also been doing orders as they come in. I KNOW I'm getting paid and making something for the fair doesn't mean I'll sell it. I'll get done what I can before Christmas on the several mangers that I need to make. I made a kitty for a gal sending it to a friend.

I've been making several gnomes for people and the craft fair. They're more of what I've been making. These teams are in demand.

Monday was the last Wii bowling till middle of January. I'm ready for a break. I sat with a gal when that was over teaching her how to make a blog. That brought back memories on my first blog back in 2007. They travel the world and she wanted something to write and send out to people.

Tuesday was the normal diamond art and meditation. Then the rest of the afternoon I got a few things done in the apartment, like laundry.

Wednesday was an early morning to watch junior high Rocky Bayou kids choir and band. They were really good but there were only just a few people that watched from the villages. It was a colder and rainy morning, but I felt bad for the kids without a good turnout to play for us.  (Click on the photos to enlarge)

The choir
The band
A couple hours after the concert I went to the craft group. We're all getting ready for the craft fair on Sunday. It's so neat seeing everyone's project. I was working on an ox, for a manger. It's kneeling.
Thursday I had crochet group in another village and there were quite a few of us. I stayed till 3:00 so had time to eat some dinner and on to cards in our village. I usually play every night but Friday, but have been slacking off lately to get the crocheting done. They've decorated their village for Christmas and here's what they did. One lady used to do costumes for plays. She's got some talent!

This is a "tidal pool" and my crab is in the pool with a lot of other crocheted items.  The tidal pool is to the right.
Decorations around the room.

These started as skeletons, then manikins made and stuffed.

When you need to redo a project this is what you do, rewind the yarn. Priscilla and Bea,
I got my first gift, a cute fir tree
The only thing I did Friday was get a haircut and talk with the meditation leader working on 2026 classes. It's coming up fast.

Saturday was the monthly meeting. There weren't very many there, they went shopping on the bus. We planned for the rest of the month for meals and fun time which will all be on the blog during the month .
