2024 Carnival Cruise Day 2 (November 4)

 Gulf of Mexico

Sleep wasn't easy last night too much movement, once we get used to it, there won't be a problem unless it gets really rocky.

We got up and went to breakfast at 7am. We ate in the main dining hall and I had pancakes. I've been craving them for a couple years. I just don't make them anymore or go to restaurants that early.

It was a day at sea and Mary loves jewelry so we spent the day in seminars and the jewelry area of the ship. We learned our way around the ship and where the bars were or to different areas of interest.  We had a great dinner and went to a few bars to see what groups were playing. The ship has a lot of places that have singers and small bands with all types of music. We ended up in a big group of dancers and danced to some old songs on the main deck. My knees won't let me move a lot, but I managed to do ok. We went to our room about 9 and crashed. The ship was rocking and the only info we had was where we were located, the speed and the amount of waves. No weather report but hearing people talk about the hurricane we knew it was getting too close to Cozumel and Belize. The swells were a little higher all day.  (Click on the photos to enlarge).

Mary's time in the jewelry area.
Our cute little dog when we got back in the room late afternoon.
My dinner of shrimp and crab cake, mash potatoes and broccoli. The meals were great! There's always an appetizer and dessert and you can have as much as you can eat.
This is Mary's dinner salmon and lots of veggies.
We sat on the top deck for the show.

Red Frog bar, this group was one of the favorites.
This is Alex, the activities leader at our favorite bar.
People above and below. It's usually very busy.

Glass elevators looking straight up. I couldn't do the down photo from above, height isn't good for the tummy.
I didn't do a lot today, but continue for the next blog.
