Shalimar, FL (Hi 92 Lo 77)
The week started out with the vampire, (Labcorp). The GPS had me turn the wrong place so I had to find the place which took awhile. I always start out earlier for that reason. I got there with seven minutes to spare. The staff was so friendly, no one else was there so I went in immediately. They used two vials instead of the five I usually give of blood. (The lady said they're bigger). I was in and out in ten minutes. Since I was out, I went to get the rain guards for the car, but the place didn't have them. I'll order them online. The next place was Walmart. It's time to get groceries, it's been a couple months so I had to restock. I got home put things away and crashed.
Wednesday: a couple other gals went with me to a great Mexican restaurant. It's on Eglin Parkway called Pedro's in Fort Walton Beach, FL. We all enjoyed our lunch and I ordered fish tacos to bring home to have for another meal. I'll be going back. I added it to my list of favorites. (Click on the photos to enlarge).

It's been hot out, so the gals and I are sitting outside later in the day. I love the time with talking with people here in the community. I spend my time still crocheting, playing the guitar, working on craft projects, and playing games on the computer. There's no hurry for anything (except the few appointments) I do the meditation group, leader of the indoor shuffle board and the darts (for another couple weeks). In August WII bowling starts so I'll be busy with the league.
While sitting outside one evening we saw a family of four raccoons come thru our breezeway. I got a couple of pictures of them before going back in the woods after seeing me. She was quite protective and took off with them behind her.
They look like monkeys walking away from me. The sun was coming thru the tree. It looked like a fire ball. I made this as gift for a friend. A cross bookmark. I made this on my own without a pattern. It's a tortoise (different from turtle they tell me).
I also finished a three inch panda. I'll make another one at one inch for the wreath.
I have a very noisy and loud house guest. I've had a funny barking sound every once in-awhile beside the chair I sit in and it's loud. It's not often but annoying. Everyone here said it was something in the AC so I got hold of maintenance. They came this morning (quick turnaround) and he figured it out by my sound I recorded, it's a tree frog in my storage area. I tried to download the sound in the blog but it's not accepting it. It does it once very few hours, or twice sometimes. I messed around in the storage area but only heard him once more today.
Next week will be August. The calendar for the month is filling up.

A frog? In A/C? We have them in the pond and flower beds. They are LOUD. I bet you had a challenge trying to determine what the sound was.
