Auburndale, FL (Hi 72 Lo 54)
We finally got our golfcart back with a new ignition switch. It now works great. I drove around the community passing out Christmas cards. I hope there's no more problems with it for awhile. I don't use it a lot but when I need it I want it to work.
Tuesday: I met with a craft vendor who was at our craft fair for the past few years. I wanted to get ideas on what to make with my "critters", the prices I should charge and where to sell. I really didn't want to sell online because I get caught with postage and end up with no profit at all. We talked about crafts of all kinds for three hours. I hope to meet up with her again and see all the things she's made over the years.
Wednesday: It was time for a dental cleaning but I'm having problems with two teeth, upper and lower on right side. Heat and cold is mainly the problem but also one or both will wake me in the middle of the night. I have an infection on the lower tooth and the tooth I've had problems with for a couple years may have to be pulled. I'm on antibiotics and have an appointment to see the surgeon next week. I hate toothaches, it makes the whole body ache.
Thursday: I made some chocolate peanut clusters for a cookie exchange. A lady in the park took all the cookies and put them on a table for us to pick up on Friday. I hope that's a yearly thing.
Saturday we delivered gifts to hospice patients. Several people were involved buying a wish list for each patient and then delivered to different areas of the county.
This is my happy place every morning. Cup of coffee in hand, phone to the left for games and texts, computer in front of me for crochet patterns. I'm watching the canal with all the birds.
Saturday evening the community had a golfcart parade. Last year there were a lot carts, this year just a few. Covid is still the top of the list for very little participation. I'm just lazy and didn't want to do any decorating. Here's a few of the golfcarts. (Click on the photos to enlarge).
I haven't posted what I made from orders for Christmas. I received order early November and kept really busy till this week. I still have a list, but nothing time sensitive. This is a basket of keychains. (Click the photo to enlarge).
These are my favorite keychains
The raccoon has a hat and glasses holding a magnifying glass. It's giving him character.
I'm now working on puzzles and crocheting things I would like to keep plus starting a collection to sell at craft fairs in other places, when they start back up again.
I'll end with tonight's sunset. They're so pretty and now I can see them without trees and houses in the way. This time of year is perfect.

Always a pain when vehicles don't work.

This will definitely be a year to remember that we want to forget.
Great job on the Crochet Characters.
