Day Trip to St. Petersburg - Movie Day

(Avon Park, FL) Hi 83 Lo 68 -- We had great weather and no rain on yesterday (Monday) for our trip to St. Petersburg to see our friends Anna, Lessie and Ed. Anna had just moved from her motorhome into a park model and we all helped her sort her stuff while the guys assembled two bookshelves for her. We all went to nearby Treasure Island and had a great lunch at Feola’s Italian Restaurant right on the beach. We enjoyed our visit and returned home right at dusk. (Click pictures to enlarge them.)

There are some really tall palms in Anna's park that sway back and forth in the wind.


Today (Tuesday) we picked up Lee and Rosemary and went to Sebring to see the movie Exodus Gods and Kings.

It was a good movie. Of course the Biblical story of the Exodus was "Hollywood-ized" quite a bit, but that's ok. We figure if there are some inaccuracies in the movie, it might prompt some people to check out the real story in the Bible. And that's not a bad thing. The theater we went to has undergone a renovation, and they now have very luxurious, wide recliners. Nice!

After the movie we went to our favorite Chinese Buffet for an early dinner, then returned home. Its been a great couple days.
