We had the winds at our back this time so our fuel mileage was a lot better than our last trip, when we had stiff headwinds. (Speaking of fuel, it's nice to see gas and diesel prices down a lot from last year.) We arrived at A-Okay Mobile Home and RV Park at 2pm. It's a no-frills park is in a big grassy field, with widely spaced full hookup sites. It's a Passport America park, so our rate is only $12.50 per night. Interestingly, they don't allow children in the park. It's not exactly an RV "resort" but it's perfect for our two-night stay. (Click on pictures to enlarge them.)
The office is in a small mobile home. The owners live a short distance outside the park. If one of them isn't in the office when you arrive, there is a clearly marked phone number to call them.
They sell propane on site, which was handy for us as we had an empty tank that needed refilling.
Our site. Lots of room!
Some views around us.
Today we were lazy. We watched football (Miami Dolphins), racing (Go Jeff Gordon!), and basketball (Miami Heat), read, and played on our laptops. Jim is still researching TV's to find a replacement for our big screen that went out last week. We're waiting to get settled in our winter site this week making the purchase. Until then we're watching the 19-inch TV we moved from the bedroom. We both miss our big screen!
Tomorrow we're moving to Lake City, FL. Our last stop before we get to Avon Park on Wednesday. It'll be good to finally be in Florida.
See you in two days.

We stayed at the same park last year. You're right - nothing fancy, but great owners and just fine for short stay. We're heading to Florida next Sunday.
Safe travels!

Sure do have lots of elbow room at that park. Looks like good spot to spend a couple of nights.
I can almost hear the shuffle board disc sliding down the court.
Sherri says give her a call when you can. We are thinking about getting back out on the road...part time to travel and see what we missed the first go round. Believe me...you can't give it up once it is in your blood!!! Tell Jim he will miss the open road.
It is a good feeling to be close to our winter home isn't it?
