(Lake Ariel, PA) Hi 70 Lo 54 -- Another short post today. Our internet connection continues to be very flaky.
This afternoon we took a drive about 40 minutes south of here to check out Pocono Raceway, site of two annual NASCAR races. We found an open gate and snuck in long enough to watch three stock cars running around the track. It appeared to be a racing school of some sort. A track worker came and shooed us out. We then went to Stroudsburg to meet Laurie and George, two friends we've met a couple of times at rallies, for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Jim's birthday is tomorrow, so this was his annual birthday steak dinner.
Rain came in just as we got back home this evening. It looks like it will be an all-night soaker. We'll get some pictures of this week's activities posted next week when hopefully we'll have a better connection to the internet. Thanks for your patience.
