(Joliet, IL) Hi 77 Lo 63 -- The weather today was a lot different from yesterday. It was breezy, with nice blue skies, no humidity and cooler temperature. What a great change.
Jim got a new phone to replace the one that he broke a couple weeks ago. He had his phone in his lap in the car and when he got out he forgot about it and it dropped on some large and sharp gravel, breaking the screen. It worked fine, but the cracks started to spread. We pay Verizon for insurance coverage for our phones, so he filed a claim and it took about two weeks to get a new one. He spent most of this morning setting it up and re-downloading all his apps. He went over to the casino hotel lobby and used their wi-fi for all the downloading so he wouldn't use up our Verizon data.
At noon we left for Plainfield to meet Rick and Phyllis, a couple we met a few years ago in this area. I first met Rick in the chat room, where he joins us some nights. We enjoy getting with them when we come here. Thanks guys for coming up; see you next year!
When we got back to the RV, Jim did the laundry and we settled in for the evening. I'm looking up patterns for baby afghans so I can work on another one to donate to the Linus project. It keeps me busy. I found a few so will be starting that tonight until it's time to join the chat room.

Don't know how many times I have had my phone hit the ground after having it on my lap. Thats also the reason I buy cheap gloves, constntly losing them this way.
