(Avon Park, FL) Hi 79 Lo 59 -- I got up early this morning for church, while Jim slept in. He coughed quite a bit during the night but felt better when he finally got up. I think he's on the mend, but this time I won't let him overdo it. I left him home while I went to church with Jon and Kathleen.
I tried to get a few things finished up so I can start new things. One was this hot pad I've been working on. I really like how fast and easy it was to crochet. I like bright colors so this one is perfect.
I read some blogs then started reading the book "Heaven Is For Real." It's about a little four year old that had a ruptured appendix and almost died. He gives an account of what it was like meeting Jesus. It's a quick read, and very powerful and uplifting. I'd suggest it to anyone who has doubts about heaven.
After dinner I worked on the vest. It's getting complicated now that I'm working around the neckline and the arm holes. I'll see how far I get with it tonight.
It was a great day of just reading. I don't do that very often. We're watching TV tonight and I'll be back on chat and playing computer games. Tomorrow starts another busy week.

I think taking up knitting or crocheting would be a good idea. I like your projects!
I have read that book and I also highly recommend it.
Add me to the list of those recommending the book. It's also available for Nook and Kindle, and probably other ereaders I'm not familiar with. Love your Hotpad!!
You are a multi tasking gal I'll have to say. I am lucky to get one thing done at the time. I do better at nothing as you well know.
I enjoyed that book alot. Of course I'm a believer anyway...
