(Beaufort, NC) Hi 69 Lo 53 – Nothing was planned for today, we just let things happen as we went through the day. After breakfast we went in to see what Sharon Jimmy were doing, and Jimmy was already working on preparing a vegetable meal for tonight. I talked with him and watched him so I could get some cooking tips.
Jim went to pick up his mom to go visit his uncle. He likes to check in on as many of his relatives as he can when we're in this area. He was gone until early evening, and while he was gone I went on a 20 minute walk and got a couple photos of the area.
At high tide the boats get real high in this canal.
I have to show off Jimmy's house where we’re staying. This is the back side of the house with the winding stairway going to the rooftop deck.
This is the view from up top at low tide.
And this is a photo taken at high tide.
Just before sunset it’s gorgeous with the sun hitting the marsh.
The deck on the roof.
Looking down the spiral staircase.
The front side of the house from across the road.
Speaking of house, this is the space we've been living in for the past three weeks. The slide on the right doesn’t extend, so we lose easy access to our dining table, and the walkway from our chairs is much narrower. But the TV looks bigger. :) Only nine more days and we’ll be all fixed up. (Fingers crossed.)
We watched the end of the NASCAR while having dinner with Sharon and Jimmy, then retired to the RV for the evening.

What a gorgeous place! No wonder you are moochdocking there! I would too :)
That is one beautiful house. But I still prefer the RV. Sorry about the slide - so frustrating when things don't work right.
What a great moochdocking site. They certainly have a wonderful view.
I know you can't wait for that slide to get fixed. It's amazing how much difference they make.
