Happy Father's Day!

(Bellevue, NE) Hi 90 Lo 60 -- Happy Father's day to all the dad's out there. I hope you got to do what you wanted to do today. Our youngest son called to say he went to play golf this morning, which he hasn't been able to do a lot lately. Our older son was at our grandson's basketball tournament. It was a great day for Jim, he watched the race, went for a walk, and played on the computer. (Wait, that's like every other Sunday for him...)  :)  Our two sons called him, which made this Sunday special.

I found a new app for my smart phone that tells me our elevation wherever we are.  I'd like to follow our elevation changes as we travel from state to state. I also played a lot of games. We have decent wi-fi here in the park so I played some angry birds on facebook, competing for high score with some of my RV'ing friends.

While Jim was out for his walk, I did some deep cleaning, and went through some drawers and got rid of some stuff I haven't touched in a couple years. Now to get the outside of the rig washed and we'll be all set.

We watched the NASCAR race from Michigan today. It was a good one. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. finally got a win after four years since his last one. (Almost four years exactly; his last win was on Fathers Day in 2008, at Michigan no less.) We noticed there were some beautiful RV sites right outside the backstretch, with a view of the entire track. I looked it up and they're paved sites with full hookups, and available for $1,600 for the weekend, plus $250 per person. Too pricey for us, and apparently too pricey for a lot of people since there were several empty sites. We sometimes think about going to a NASCAR race and camping for the week, but if we do it will be in one of the much cheaper campgrounds.

We've had two straight days in, so tomorrow it's time to get out. We're not sure what we'll be doing yet, so stay tuned.

I sometimes like to know the elevation when I'm traveling, but my GPS tells me so I don't need to get a SmartPhone, lol.

Glad to hear Jr. finally got a win. Now for an update on Baby Harvick! Most of the time I don't miss tv, but must confess I'm missing NASCAR

We saw some nice RV sites outside of turn 4 during Saturdays Nationwide race. OUCH!!! I don't think we'll be staying at the Michigan track anytime soon! Maybe if it was $16.00 instead of $1600.00, I might consider it. :)
