Hand and Selene are our friends from North Carolina and are part time RV'ers. They went to the Passport America Rally this past week in Orlando. They drove down from the Lazy Days RV Park in Tampa, where they moved to after the rally ended. They arrived around 10:30am and we sat outside visiting and talking about their plans to become full timers. By noon we were getting hungry so we piled into our car and went to lunch at the Blue Lagoon in Sebring, one of our favorite local places. We had a leisurely lunch, then we took them on a little tour of the area, starting with McCracken Farms, out in the country east of Avon Park. We visited there last week and we were fascinated with their methods for growing fruits and vegetables. And we couldn't end our tour without a stop at Maxwell's Grove in Avon Park for some orange ice cream. When we got back to the park we sat for another few hours talking about anything and everything.

We were sad to see them go, but we'll see them again a couple times this summer. Thanks Hank and Selene for coming down to see us today. See ya soon!

Orange ice cream sounds sooooo good. We are just outside Dade City. It's kind of nice to be out of the touristy areas.
