Shalimar, FL (Hi 85 Lo 74)
The week was pretty normal. It's finally June which took two months to get here. I had a few zooms and the diamond art, wellness class, and a couple hours of cards, then a passport class on Wednesday to Sweden.
Thursday I went to village six for crochet, played cards that night in Village one. But the big days was Friday and Saturday.
I have been waiting for this day for quite awhile. My birthday is Sunday and Rick and Tammy came from Chicago to be with me and celebrate my 34th year of eating lobster dinner. The tradition still goes on. Thank you two for coming!
Friday I picked them up at the airport and we met with Sharon at BHV for a few questions if I'd pass. It's going to happen and I wanted the two of them to meet. We left there for a few errands and eating at Stewby's seafood restaurant for lunch. Ya can never get enough seafood.
We came home and got a few computer things figured out and made chicken and dumplings for dinner. They went to the hotel later in the evening.
Saturday we started the day off running about 9am. First was breakfast at Waffle House. Then to the armament museum. (Click on photos to enlarge).

I guess this guy was tired and waiting for others,
When we left there, we went to Destin. Traffic was heavy, but we knew that and just took our time. When we got to the bridge, there were boats everywhere and lots of people.
Zip lining were in a couple of places. One woman was stuck and a guy went out to get her.
This is the boardwalk area, $20 to park
Lots of boats to take people out in the bay. Some with glass bottoms. We'll do that next time.
A couple pelicans watching all the activity.
This one was fun to watch. He would catch a fish for lunch in the hole. He wasn't afraid of anyone going up and getting pictures. (click to enlarge) he's in the middle on the white cylinder.
Several tiki boats going to the sandbar on other side of the bridgeDee and Rick
We stopped at a restaurant for some "starters" which were wonderful and a few drinks.
We decided to go on to Poppy's Seafood Bucket but on the way in, it's a closed community so have to get a pass. It's in a section like a town on it's own. Lots of shops and restaurants. It's so neat, and I'll take anyone out of town to see it when they come to visit.
