(Avon Park, FL) Hi 82 Lo 55 -- It's getting quite warm in the afternoon, and our air conditioner is on the fritz. Jim called a guy who lives here in the park and does RV maintenance on the side. He thinks it may be a bad solenoid that's preventing the compressor from coming on. He doesn't normally work on air conditioners, so he doesn't have the right equipment to troubleshoot it. We're going to call a local RV dealer that has a mobile maintenance service.
We didn't plan anything today. Jim made a post office run and also did the laundry. I worked on the photos we took at the car show and now have them posted on the right under Adelaide Shores Classic Car Show.
The day went fast. We're both cleaning up our computers and doing scans. I read several blogs and checked on those we know that were in the tornado areas last night. That's scary, with the last couple years having tornadoes in January.
It's our turn here in Florida to suffer through all the political commercials on TV. I can't wait till it's over. I wish we could do like Canada does on elections. Give everyone a short calendar window to campaign, then go vote. It's that simple. No fighting, no trashing each other, just tell your views on why you should be president and sit back for the voting.
All is well in our warm part of the nation.

We even hear all the American Canidates political veiws here in Canada.
I agree the shorter campaigning time for commercials is easier to take but even over hear the run for re-election starts right after one election has taken place. Also if it is a federal election it all takes place at once not midterm of the other canidates which does give you some downtime from all the Hype.

Hope they can fix a/c and fix reasonably. I agree w/ y ou 100%, have always said ..dont tell me what the guys did tell me what YOU did...and every time, just like holiday decorations, campaigning begins earlier and earlier....like my kid, in January he starts throwing out ideas for his Christmas present.
