(Oconto, WI) Hi 78 lo 69 – High humidity, storms and a little rain. We wanted to get Tumbleweed washed today, no matter what. We started at 9:00 so we could beat the heat that was suppose to get to 90 again today.
It started out cloudy but by the time we were half way done a storm came up. The main storm went north of us, but we still took a little time out to let the storm go by. With lighting it’s not a good idea being on a ladder.
Jim had the soap on the roof, so he had to squirt some in my bucket from above.
Getting bugs off the front cap. Bounce dryer sheets work good for that.
Drying out everything
Karen helped us out and it took about three hours to complete the job. We still have to clean the windows but at least the worst of the job is done.
We spent the afternoon getting things done on the computer, including canceling our Alaska cruise scheduled for next May. Our step granddaughter is graduating from high school, and we think that is more important. Family comes first, Alaska will still be there so we’ll make it another time.
Sharon and Fred, friends of Karen and Steve, came over for dinner tonight. They had been on the road as snowbirds for a few years, but had an accident that destroyed their fifth wheel when their hitch separated from their truck. It turned out the bed rails were installed wrong and pulled out of the bed of their truck. They were interested in seeing our RV and truck, as they're thinking about getting another rig and hitting the road full time.

We had a wonderful dinner of grilled salmon, baked potatoes, salad, water melon and strawberry shortcake. It was getting dark and the mosquitos were starting to eat us up so we parted ways, hoping to meet up again in the future.
Chef Steve at the grill.
The salmon fillets and baked potatoes were huge!
There were storms to the north of us, but none of them came our way.
Another day of friends and fellowship, with a little work thrown in!

Doesn't it feel good to have a beautiful, clean rig. Dinner looked like so much fun. Stupid mosquitoes.
Those salmon filets sure looked good!
Now that your RV is clean and pretty, don't be afraid to get back out there on the road and use it!
Food looks great (YUM Salmon), friends look happy and there is nothing as wonderful as making new friends... Coach looks good too!
Have fun & Travel safe
